Hatsune Miku x Kyoto 36 Gasen Illustration Contest
Named after the "Thirty-Six Immortals of Poetry" of the Heian period, the Hatsune Miku x Kyoto 36 Gasen Illustration Contest selected "Thirty-Six Illustrators" of the Reiwa period from entries submitted on pixiv on the combined theme of Kyoto and Hatsune Miku.

The contest is part of the Kyoto Nippon Festival, now being held at Kitano Tenman-gu shrine in Kyoto until December 5th, which also features a collaboration project with Sword Art Online, and a special exhibition of the national treasure, the “Illustrated Scroll of the Origin of Kitano Tenjin,” along with a contemporary reinterpretation thereof by six Japanese illustrators: Morikura En, fuzichoco, munashichi, Toshiaki Takayama, LM7 and kamogawa.
Each of the 36 winners received an award of 30,000 JPY.
