While many pets are scared of getting a bath, there are some who enjoy soaking in some warm suds. Cats are famously water-averse, but dogs seem more open to the idea, and thanks to this we get to see some adorable doggy bath-time pics posted online!
One such example is this super cute photo of a shiba inu called Charmy, who isn’t just enjoying the bath, but seems to be having the time of her life. This well-timed shot makes it look as though she has a massive grin with her eyes closed in relaxation.

You may be wondering why Charmy has a towel on her head, and there’s a good reason for this extra accessory. In traditional Japanese public baths (called onsen or sento), you may see people place their towel on their head while they bathe. This is partly because it’s a convenient place to put it, and also because the towel must not come into contact with the bath water in order to keep the bath clean for everyone. It is also said that there’s health benefits to this, as the towel can be soaked in warm or cool water before entering to regulate your head’s temperature while getting in and out of hot baths.
Charmy really suits this onsen look, and the towel totally completes the pampering vibe.
