On November 8th, 2022, Lotte Corporation will release "Coolish Dessert Triple Chocolate," a drinkable dessert with a sophisticated rich chocolate taste. Combining a chocolate-flavored version of Coolish's unique "drinkable ice cream" slurry with a chocolate ganache known in Japan as 生チョコ (nama choco | lit. "raw chocolate") and chocolate chips for a triple whammy making it Coolish's most chocolaty offering to date.
According to the press release, "the cool sensation will permeate throughout your body, delivering a refreshing sweetness and allowing you to enjoy this 'drinkable ice cream' anywhere and in any style you like."
Compared to the standard Coolish flavors, Lotte has reduced the ratio of finely crushed ice by 10%, thereby allowing the chocolaty flavors to come out more strongly.
As you can see in the graphic below, Coolish employs four different sizes of ice crystals in its slurry, depending on the flavor and season. For their Triple Chocolate flavor, they used the smallest type available:
Triple Chocolate (JP: トリプルチョコレート) flavor Coolish is categorized as a "lacto ice" product (at least 3% of milk solid) and comes in a 140 ml pouch. It will be available for 194 JPY (tax inc.) at convenience stores, supermarkets, and other retail locations nationwide where ice cream is sold.
