Relive Your Trauma Of Being The Tree In The School Play With This Japanese Tree Sleeping Bag
A mysterious stand of pine trees in West Pomerania, Poland has been giving the world quite a stir.
Named the Crooked Forest, this grove is home to 400 trees that are, as the name of the forest suggests, crooked. The trees are said to have been planted around 1930 in what was then Germany.
Each tree is bent 90 degrees near the base, but curves gracefully back upright towards the sky. Even more oddly, all of the trees are bent in the same direction: due North. No one has yet been able to determine the true reason for the shape of these pine trees, but is it very likely that they were bent intentionally to create naturally bent parts for applications such as boats and furniture.
But with all mysteries arise conspiracy theories, and there are those who have tried to explain the Crooked Forest with theories ranging from that of witchcraft to alien invasions.
