Yutaka Kagaya is a Japanese CG artist and photographer whose work comes with a celestial flair. He deals with themes such as the universe and Humankind as a part of that universe. While many of his pieces create "planetary imagery", his recent tip to the Antarctic, as posted on Twitter, have yielded some some surreal and beautiful snap shots of scenery that fit right in with his otherworldly art.
So it adds some credibility to Kagaya saying on Twitter that the Arctic universe is where he feels closest to space. Here are some photos that communicate that feeling.
