Sakura season may be ready to fold up this week, but some areas still haven't ended yet. The Dominique Ansel Bakery in Omotesando, Tokyo happened to create a special kind of Sakura to continue enjoyment through delivering a hot cup of chocolate, but not an ordinary one.
The surface is decorated with blooming marshmallow flowers. After adding it on top, it gradually soaks up the hot drink underneath, then blooms out and covers the entire cup surface.
The chocolate ingredient may be the best choice combination with marshmallow. As for coffee, probably won't go too well. But regular drinkers prefer coffee to hot chocolate on their way to work or during their down time. So recently, the bakery has strived to revolutionize the idea and mix it with Matcha latte to serve the customers in their best interest. And the result has never been better!
The yellow ball in the middle is Yuzu, a citrus fruit originating in East Asia.
