The 800 year old manga Choju-jinbutsu-giga, also known as"Scrolls of Frolicking Animals" received a part 2 sequel from Studio Ghibli, which is unbelievable. It is the first time ever for Ghibli to make a sequel to their works, and they feel honored to transform this first ever made manga into a lively short heartwarming movie.

As you might have already expected, the little momentum of animal details is definitely characteristic of Ghibili’s work. A similar concept like the first part, but this time, the frog shows man’s bravery to carry the rabbit through the river. The overall action of the love in giving and receiving is more interactive than before, simply because they had passed the first cute stage of encounter.
The collaboration with the energy company Marubeni Shin Denryoku is to promote their goal towards low-pollution, renewable wind, water, and solar-based energy production. The Choju-jinbutsu-giga was chosen as a symbol to describe the beauty of the pre-industrial era in Japan.
