Considering that many anime fans took advantage of the extended Golden Week holiday to catch up on the Spring season's lineup, it makes perfect sense that NTT Docomo's dAnime Store would conduct a survey during that period to find out which anime are the most popular.
Between April 29th and May 7th, no less than 100,252 people accessed the service's online voting page to make their voices heard.

Following the success of the light novel by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka, then the manga (illustrated by Shunsuke Ogata), the anime version of Kenja no Mago seems to be doing very well, nabbing the top spot in the survey.
#2: One Punch Man, Season 2
7,260 votes

After four years which seemed like an eternity for fans of the series, One Punch Man's return for a second season showed that the laidback superhero hobbyist still has what it takes to captivate viewers' attention, with the anime earning second place in the survey.
#3: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)
7, 248 votes

Following closely behind in third place was the Taisho Era demon-slaying story of Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Following up in fourth and fifth place were Isekai Quartet with 6,165 votes and Bokutachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai (We Never Learn) with 4,818 votes, respectively.

The site also lists the results according to the age and sex of the respondents.
Top anime by age
For example, only looking at the favorite anime of each age group, we can see that while Kenja no mago (The Sage's Grandson) was the overall favorite, Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) was more popular with teens and One Punch Man: Season 2 with adults in their 20s. Another perhaps surprising result of this survey was that the largest group of respondents (27%) were in their 40s.
Top three anime by sex
Breaking down the results by sex, women preferred Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) and, perhaps unsurprisingly, Bungō Stray Dogs: Season 3 over Kenja no mago (The Sage's Grandson). The favorites among men reflected the general results posted above, with Kenja no mago (The Sage's Grandson) and One Punch Man: Season 2 earning the top two ranks, although the third most popular anime was Isekai Quartet instead of Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), which ranked 4th.
