Children are bursting with creativity even from a young age, and for a parent, the results of their creative bouts are something precious to be cherished for years to come.
This Japanese mother (@mochico913) showed off her own creativity when she came up with an inventive way to not only preserve her 2-year-old daughter’s artwork, but to also show it off every day as a surprisingly stylish and original accessory.

Of all her daughter’s drawings, she particularly loved this colourful scribble. So she covered it with plastic shrink wrap and cut it into squares. She then lined the squares up on baking paper and placed them in the oven for one minute at 200 degrees Celsius.

While they were still hot out the oven, she used a book to flatten them and rounded off the corners.

Finally she gave them a coat of resin and voila! Some stylish parts to make into unique accessories. She bought the materials from a 100 yen shop, making this a cheap and easy way to make some special memorabilia.

Some of the parts went into these chic earrings which look like they could perfectly complement lots of outfits with a pop of colour.

These homemade parts enable the making of stylish and unique accessories, but they also hold a special and heartwarming meaning when worn.
Kids are a great source of creative inspiration, as proved by these earrings, as well as other examples like the father who made his daughter's drawings into bento lunch boxes and this professional anime artist that turned his son's sketches into anime-ready characters!
