“This is what it looks like during rainy season in the country side.”
Photos with the above caption, posted on Twitter by Japanese photographer skgk (@sk_g13), have become a huge hit with over 70,000 likes.
Skgk visited Unsou-ji, a temple in Oga city, Akita prefecture, and photographed hydrangeas that were in season and at peak during rainy season.
Take a look at these beautiful photos that stole viewer’s hearts.
A sea of fully bloomed hydrangeas bushes spreading in front of the gate of the temple leaves you in awe.
The one photo of green Japanese maple leaf floating with the pink and aqua colored hydrangeas in the mini fountain also is admirable.
Many viewers commented that the photos were very touching:
"There are no words to describe how beautiful this is."
"I've never seen such perfectly and fully bloomed hydrangeas in such large quantities. It’s so beautiful. The cloudy sky in the photo is also creating a contrasting mood, too."
"It just left me in awe. I would love to see this in person, one day."
Due to the recent covid-19 outbreak, the temple politely asks out-of-province people to refrain from visiting at this time. These beautiful, even therapeutic photos, however, seemed to have made many feel like they were there in person!
