Express your creative side this autumn with an art themed stay at Hoshino Resorts Kai Sengokuhara.
A special plan has been especially planned by the hotel to coincide with the colourful autumn season, and will allow guests to relax in the naturally heated onsen waters whilst diving into their creativity with paintbrushes, canvases and paint palettes that float on top of the water.
The one-night two-day plan includes accommodation, meals for both dinner and breakfast, unique artistic experiences, memorabilia and art inspired cocktails.
Begin your stay creating abstract paintings whilst soaking your feet in the footbath. This is a great way for people of all abilities to kickstart their creative mode, no matter how much experience they have.
Following the footbath, will be invited to meet and spend time talking with the resident artists, who will give positive criticism and advice on the paintings you created at the beginning of your stay. The artists include 12 individual creatives from both Japan and overseas who are taking part in an artist-in-residence programme known as the ARIS programme at the hotel.Whilst interacting with the ARIS artists in the hotel lounge, you can enjoy an original cocktail inspired by some of the art world’s all time greatest creators such as Monet or Van Gogh.
Finally, you can relax in the private open-air onsen provided with every bedroom. Whilst soaking in the bath, you can take advantage of the advice received from the ARIS artists and create more artwork. A selection of paints, canvases and paint brushes are provided on floatable trays so that you can fully immerse yourself in the Art x Onsen experience.
The resort recommends looking for inspiration from the colourful autumn leaves visible from the open-air bath, or to work with influences from your favourite artist, but really you can let your imagination and creative juices run wild.
