It's not very likely that many find Hedorah, an enemy kaiju of Godzilla spawned from human pollution, to be all that adorable. The toxic alien monster that feeds off of humanity's wasteful habits made its debut in Godzilla vs. Hedorah (Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster in the U.S.) and grows progressively disgusting throughout the film.
Figure maker CCP is releasing, in limited quantity, a fiery "blaze" figure series of three Hedorah poses. Because the Hedorah figures use the "deformed" chibi aesthetic popular with so many Japanese figures, the smog monster actually looks kind of cute!
The figures are available in the form of Hedorah taking a bong rip off a chimney for toxic sustenance, fully stood up, and "growing". Each is being produced in limited quanity (100 standing units, 150 growing units, and 200 chimney smoking units).
All three can be reserved online from CCP between July 27th and August 31st, with delivery expected in between January and February of 2021, at the links below.
Chimney Hedorah (14,000 yen)
Standing Hedorah (12,000 yen)
Growing Hedorah (15,000 yen)
