Come test your pitching abilities this September at the legendary Hanshin Koshien Baseball Stadium. Limited to Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of September, 120 lucky participants will get the chance to throw a baseball from the Pitcher’s Circle at the Hanshin Koshien Stadium.
The event will begin with pitching practice on the grounds of the stadium, and will be followed up by the main event where all participants get the chance to pitch a maximum of three balls from the Pitcher’s Circle in the center of the venue.
During the event, the names of participants as well as the ball speed will be announced over the stadium speakers.
Treasure the moment forever with photographs taken by a professional photographer during the event.
In addition to the chance to pitch from the famous stadium, visitors will be given free entry and a tour at the Koshien History Museum.
*In the case of rain or bad weather, the pitching event will be replaced by a full stadium tour.
*Please note, the stadium does not permit visitors to take home soil from the grounds.
2020 Hanshin Koshien Stadium Pitching Event
Pitcher Adult (12 years +) – 3,000 yen
Child (4 - 12 years of age) – 2,000 yen
Each participant will need to be accompanied by one guest.
Guest Adult (12 years +) – 1,500 yen
Child (4 - 12 years of age) – 1,000 yen
*Due to the current COVID-19 situation, in order to limit the possibility of spreading infection, participants will need to bring along their own pitching gloves as well as 3 balls.
For the chance to take part in the event, sign up on the Koshien History Museum website. Applications will be taken from August 25th to September 11th. A lottery will be held to select 120 participants for the event.
Winners will need to present their selection email to the Koshien History Museum reception on the day of the event to take part.
