The influential franchise 『俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない。』Oreimo is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the anime broadcast this year. Credited with reviving the "little sister boom" and controversial due to its flirting with the incest taboo (an issue which the PlayStation Portable game may have attempted to resolve by presenting Kyousuke and Kirino as not blood-related), Oreimo has nevertheless earned its place as one of the more popular romantic comedy / slice of life anime of the last decade.
Oreimo IF (IMOUTO FOREVER)
To commemorate the occasion, anime goods maker Movic, Inc. is releasing a set of wedding rings called "Oreimo IF (IMOUTO FOREVER)"
The rings are inspired by Kirino, Kuroneko and Ayase and the set includes a chain which can also be worn as a necklace, a reproduction of an original illustration and a bromide, a customized ring box and a wedding certificate for you to play out your fantasies to your heart content.
The rings are silver, and are available in two sizes, a Japanese 17 or 19 (equivalent to US size 8.5 and 9.5). Considering the average ring size for Japanese women is a 6, these rings are probably intended to be worn by a male customer, presumably imagining he is being offered the ring by his two-dimensional bride-to-be. Speaking of which, her name is engraved, along with a gemstone in her theme color on the inside of the ring, for the exclusive enjoyment of the wearer.
The wedding certificates have the standard "in sickness and in health" vows on the upper half but the lower half have additional "otaku" vows which are unique to each character.
