Pokemon and Adidas Crossover Provides Perfect Training Gear for Pokemon Hunting
When it comes to Japan-exclusive releases, Adidas is one sports brand that never disappoints. They even take inspiration from Japan itself, whether that’s pop culture references such as their Pokemon range, or their sakura special edition sneakers which celebrate Japan’s gorgeous spring.
These new Adidas Originals take on a distinctly Japanese twist and are a three way team effort from Adidas Originals, sneaker shop Atmos, and Ukiyoemon, a tattoo artist from Three Tides Tattoo in Osaka.
The awesome design is inspired by traditional Japanese patterns and motifs, incorporating Mount Fuji and fireworks. The main colour of the sneaker is an off white, and the patterns are in indigo and red which gives the impression of traditional ink drawings.
The laces give an extra splash of colour with bright blue and there’s a red tag near the back with ‘Atmos’ written in Japanese katakana characters.
Not just the sneakers, this collaboration has also resulted in an awesome tracksuit top with another Japanese art-inspired design from Three Tides.
Both of these releases can be found of Atoms Tokyo’s online store. The sneakers will set you back 14,000 yen, and the track top goes for 9990 yen (both prices are pre-tax).
