Japan Fisherman’s Festival In Hibiya Park Is Serving Up Amazing Seafood From All Over The Country
Anyone who has even the briefest knowledge of Japan, knows that the country is no stranger to quirky and cool characters. There are the adorable faces of Hello Kitty, Pompompurin and Doraemon, the monstrous mechas of Gundam and Evangelion, and a mascot character for almost every brand and event that goes down in Japan.
Put simply, if you can name it, there’s probably a character as the face of it.
Of course, it comes as no surprise that there are even characters in the music industry, with arguably the coolest kid on the block being the musical quartet – Blue Hamham.
Created by graphic designer Arimura Taishi, Blue Hamham consists of four ‘space hamster’ brothers, who are stranded on earth after getting lost on a trip. The quartet get their energy by absorbing music, just like how plants photosynthesise sunlight. To feed their endless hunger, the four work together and create live music – which they say tastes better than recorded music.
The four have a dream to taste all the music of the earth, and are travelling around to venues across the world to experience all different kinds of live music.
Since 2020, Blue Hamham have made a variety of official collaboration videos as animated musicians with both domestic and international artists, with the clips receiving more than 300 million views on Twitter and TikTok.
If you want to meet the musical-blue-coloured-hamsters-from-space don’t miss out on the BLUE HAMHAM POP UP STORE, taking place at Shibuya’s and Shinsaibashi’s Parco department stores this summer.
More than 30 new Blue Hamham products, including limited edition clothing apparel, will be up for grabs at the event as well as a handful of original photo spots with Blue Hamham figurines set up around the venue.
