Talented Japanese creator albERich (@alberichnui) specializes in plush toys of real animals and creatures from fantasy worlds.
One of their recent creations, which they intend to make available at the upcoming Design Festa 54 in November, has been buzzing on social media, and it's not hard to see why:

In addition to regular plush toys, albERich creates "puppet" versions that can be operated by hand. It seems that their canine plush puppets have been particularly popular. Here's what the fox version of the series looks like in the hands of a skilled puppeteer:
"Here's my latest work. I've updated my series of canines that always surprise passers-by! It took me three years to find materials sturdy enough to withstand regular use but I finally reached the quality I wanted and now this furbaby is ready to be welcomed into a new home. I intend to put a wolf version and several others up for adoption at Design Festa."

The cute and lifelike puppet, combined with the artist's masterful puppeteering, elicited many comments, both in Japanese and English, such as:
According to subsequent tweets by albERich, these creations feature eco-fur made with acrylic fibers. The price is still under consideration but will be announced before Design Festa. In addition to this fox version, the artist intends to have two wolf versions and one white fox version at their booth.
If you just can't wait, you can buy one of albERich's creations on his online store here. At the time of writing {updated on 9/24}, two creations are available, an Ametrine Carbuncle (a very rare carbuncle hybrid of amethyst and citrine) and a Shiba Inu.
The artist accepts payment by bank transfer and convenience store payment.
