Cabs are used by many people for work and personal use.
I'm sure some of you have had a chat with the driver when traveling long distances.
Azuki Yashiro (@yashi09) is a web manga artist who runs two companies.
One day, he took a cab and found the driver to be a very talkative person.
While he was talking to the driver, the cab passed by a cemetery.
With the wide variety of passengers they carry, cab drivers sometimes have strange experiences.
So, Yashiro asked the driver: "Do you have anything scary you can tell me?"
Little did he know that he would be in for quite a different kind of fright...
"I'm feeling sleepy right now"
The words that came out of the driver's mouth terrified Yashiro.
Of course, the driver was joking, but it certainly was a different kind of "scary story" than what he expected.
This post became a topic of conversation on Twitter, attracting nearly 66,000 likes at the time of writing, not to mention numerous comments, such as:
In Japan, actually, it's one of the most common situations for a driver to tell a ghost story. If you're on a relatively long trip and your Japanese is good enough or you're lucky to have a driver who can speak good English, you can give it a try!)
However, this episode makes you realize that people are scarier than ghosts and monsters...!
Yashiro-san has written a manga about this episode on his official blog.
