We've seen some incredibly lifelike cat costumes, typically made from wool felt, come out of Japan recently, including a service that creates wearable replicas of your cat's head. You usually don't expect to see a store worker wearing one while selling you sweets, however.
Unless you happened to be shopping at the Aeon Mall shopping center in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture recently. There you would have found Miku, a giant furry cat that sells cat-themed pudding.
Twitter user Suika (@suikasu123) was one of many who were surprised to spot the cat in the wild, passing by their store, where they were selling Saka no Ue no Neko Pudding (Cat on top of a hill pudding) to customers.

The specialty pudding store operates out Matsuyama City, but has an online store and has pop up booths across the country as well. The cat mentions on their Twitter profile that they live with five actual cats and uses the profits from the pudding to help support cat shelter activities and initiatives.
As you can see, Miku comes ready to work in costume!
Since Miku travels around Japan selling the feline-themed pudding, there's a chance if you're at a supermarket in Japan, you may run into the oversized kitty during a shopping trip!
