LINE store Harajuku Presents BTS Webtoon Exhibition ‘Save Me’ for 1 Year Anniversary
BTS fans in Japan who enjoy themed cafes have been treated to several pop-up cafes over the years, themed around the LINE characters BT21. Now for the first time, an eatery based on their other animated alter-egos, TinyTAN, has appeared in the country.
There will be nine different cafe locations, spread across 5 Japanese cities.
Unlike BT21, the TinyTAN characters are directly based on the K-pop group’s members, and the illustrations used for this limited-time-only cafe show them wearing the outfits from the Mic Drop video.
The menu includes three healthy choices for the main meal and each one comes with a ‘pop stand’ given at random, so you don’t know which design you will get.
For dessert, there’s ‘Select Cakes’ which allow you to choose your favourite member and then pick how you would like your cake served.
There’s the ‘Fruits Deco Style’ which comes with fruit artfully placed on the side.
Or the ‘American Sundae Style’ which adds an ice cream sundae into the mix, with several flavours to choose from.
Or you can combine both the main and dessert for two people into one cute afternoon tea-style set.
Diners looking for a cute cafe vibe can go for the drink and cake set. There’s a range of beverages on the menu such as strawberry milk, cookie milk, or iced americano, known as the go-to-choice in Korean cafes.
Of course, a themed cafe isn’t complete without a souvenir shop filled with exclusive merchandise, and the TinyTAN Cafe is no exception. This includes badges, acrylic stands, postcards, cups, spoons, t-shirts, and more.
These adorable cafes will be popping up in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Miyagi at various times until 3rd July 2022. Check out the website for the full menu and schedule, or to make a reservation.
