Enchanted by the ocean - Ryukyuan glass: Sea creatures
This is "Ryukyuan glass: Sea creatures," a glass made of shibori Ryukyuan glass with a unique texture.

The glass depicts humpback whales, whale sharks, and other sea creatures swimming majestically in the Ryukyuan seas.
The air bubbles, a characteristic of Ryukyuan glass, match the mysterious undersea atmosphere.
The wavy texture of the shibori glass creates a wave-like effect, and the gradation of color from light to dark blue is reminiscent of the beautiful colors of the ocean.

The design of the creatures swimming happily in the sea are created by sandblasting, a technique in which sand is blown onto glass at high pressure to create detailed patterns.
Since the glasses are handmade by craftsmen, the gradation of colors, the subtle variation in depth of the patterns, and the size and layout of the air bubbles will vary from glass to glass. Each one is unique!

When the light hits this glass, you'll truly feel as if you're looking into the sparkling sea on a sunny day off the coast of the Okinawan isles. The beautiful gradation and the majestic sea creatures swimming about will surely soothe your soul.
What happens when you pour a drink
