Blue, blue and more blue in Yokohama city
When summer rolls around in Japan, so do summer festivals, and that means a barrage of the country's grandest fireworks shows that people flock to to take in a breathtaking evening of night sky explosions. But sometimes it's not the biggest named firework shows, but those you can simply take in by walking down the street that provide some of the best views.
Japanese photographer szuna (@_szuna) provided a great example of that, sharing a shot they took from when they recently visited the Minato Mirai Fireworks show. Minato Mirai is a seaside urban area in Yokohama, and it's port makes for a wonderful backdrop for the brilliant fireworks show that takes place there.
For the first time in three years (due to the pandemic), the fireworks show was held, and szuna captured scenery so gorgeous they just had to share:

szuna shared the photo saying "the fireworks at Minato Mirai were just too pretty so please check them out", and many online are agreeing with that sentiment as they are wowed by the shot. With Yokohama's signature Ferris Wheel and the uniquely shaped Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel matching the blossoming fireworks in the sky, it just goes to show why so many choose to end their summer festival experience with a fireworks show in Japan.
A video provided by szuna shows that it was well worth the 3 year wait as well!
