Mariam Malak, one of the top-scoring high school students in Egypt, all of the sudden failed all of the end-of-year exams.

She was getting near-perfect marks in recent years, so Mariam was hopeful that she will get into medical school. But then, the result showed that she scored zero in all seven of her exam that she's sat. Mariam is now appealing publicly against this result:

In an interview with BBC, Mariam and her family believe that she is a victim of corruption and bribery, swapping her exam paper with someone else.
