Poker faced as they are, news anchors sometimes have blunders on camera too. I personally remember seeing an anchorwoman get the hiccups right in the midst of the morning news, having to repeat her sentence over and over again until she was finally able to talk through it without interrupting herself with a hiccup.
Well, meet Chris P. Bacon, a cute little pig with an inspiring story who also made a news anchor laugh uncontrollably during his special segment. Although the story itself — which is about a pot-bellied pig with no back legs who visits kids at a hospital — is not supposed to be funny, it seems as though the news anchor just can’t get enough of this little piggy’s name.
The more you think about it though, the more it sets in that the name is rather… unnerving. But still, we can’t help laughing along with the anchor’s contagious laughter.
Hopefully Chris is still putting smiles on the children’s faces, and we hope even more that having the name Chris P. Bacon is as close he will ever get to being, well, a crispy bacon.
