Energy Online, a power company in New Zealand, recently released this video to promote working online as the better alternative to sending out door-to-door salespeople, many of whom probably don’t enjoy being treated like nuisances anyway. In the video, unaware salespeople approach the golden gargoyle door-knocker, which turns out to be something quite unexpected.
It looks more like a commercial than a candid prank video, so it’s likely that the video was staged. And even though this ingenious door-knocker isn’t for sale, it looks pretty feasible to make on your own (but you’ll probably need to saw a hole through your door and get someone to paint their face gold).
