Takashi Yasui is a freelance photographer, who while focusing his camera lenses on the streets of Japan, gives us a look into a gorgeous world of harmony between old and modern Japan.
Traveling the streets of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, his photography often captures many a passerby in their day to day life, but with radiant and sometimes mysterious backgrounds, it appears as if observing a world separate from our time. While a lot of hard work goes into setting up the perfect shot, sometimes it's an everyday occurrence that gives us a very simple kind of beauty. Perhaps most interesting is how aspects of traditional Japan blend seamlessly with a modern setting, making for some truly poetic shots. Enjoy a sampling of his work below, as well as his website and Instagram.
