Respected artist Noriyoshi Ohrai, known for his rendition of the original Star Wars Trilogy in Japan, passed away this week on October 27th. You may not know his name but are probably familiar with his artwork.
Ohrai left behind a legacy of art, having worked on art for the Metal Gear sequels. His recent work appeared in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on the walls of the Eastern European church in Act 3. In Japan, his creative artwork has appeared in posters for The Godzilla Series, The Road Warrior, Good Morning Vietnam, along with many other books and gaming projects.
