A few days ago, Beijing, China encountered their worst air pollution. The "red alert", which means the most severe under a four-tier emergency response system, appeared to warn their citiziens to stay indoor as much as possible. The city advised kindergartens, primary and high schools to suspend classes, and banned outdoor operations at construction sites.
A terrifying car accident happened because the drivers were not able to see in front of them from the surrounded smog, which caused 33 cars to collide on a highway, 5 people lost their lives and 4 were injured.
The city provided some instructions on how to take care yourself in the smog, and hopefully there will be less smog tomorrow.
