The cold winter has made it seem as though spring will never come, but Suntory in Japan is preparing for the upcoming season like many other food and beverage companies — with a new sakura-flavored product.
Meet Pepsi SAKURA.
Source: Suntory
Believe it or not, this is the world’s first sakura-flavored Pepsi, despite the numerous other foods and drinks that have their own cherry blossom versions. This limited edition Pepsi SAKURA will be available nationwide from March 8th, and sakura fanatics will be able to buy a bottle for 140 yen (1.20 USD).
The drink itself is a soft, pink color, and comes in a boldly designed bottle with pink sakura petals and the word “SAKURA” written in a calligraphy brush.
The flavor is said to be as explosive as the packaging — a brilliant, sweet sakura aroma and flavor that is sure to bring springtime to your tastebuds.
This is definitely another sakura-themed product we’re going to have to try this year!
