With the drier, colder seasons just around the corner, we could all use a little more moisture for our delicate bodies. And if you so happen to be a matcha lover who also suffers from devastatingly chapped lips, then you’ll be head over heels for the new matcha lip balm from Kyoto’s Gion Tsujiri.

The lip balm uses Gion Tsujiri’s highest quality Uji matcha, Kento No Mukashi (建都の昔), for top notch flavor and aroma. It also contains Camellia oleifera oil (tea seed oil), beeswax, and tea leaves, giving your lips sufficient moisture while making them taste delicious at the same time.
Gion Tsujiri has also made it a point to package the lip balms like freshly harvested tea. Each comes in an originally printed box adorned with images of deep green leaves, and the balm itself comes perfectly placed in a stylish, bamboo container.

The matcha lip balm can be purchased at Gion Tsujiri and Saryo Tsujiri stores in Japan, or through Gion Tsujiri’s online store. Though they’re a tad expensive at 1,620 yen (15.75 USD), you can rest assured that you’ll only be getting the best of the best. The only downside to these matcha lip balms is that you’ll struggle to keep yourself from licking it off!
