Recently, a string of posts on Twitter have been reporting some double takes caused by Amazon Japan delivery staff, as many been surprised to find packages that appear to be torn open in their hands. Their initial take was that they've mistakenly received copies of Final Fantasy XV, whether they had ordered the game or not!
The packages aren't actually ripped open, however. This is a publicity stunt by Amazon Japan that uses a specially designed Final Fantasy box to make packages appear as if they contain copies of the games. The boxes are shipped out at random, and are only available in a limited number. While people not interested in the game are more than confused, fans of the series are getting their hopes up, and now that they are aware of the stunt, perhaps motivated to purchase items from Amazon to get the box as a collector's item!
