There may be many things you might not understand or get about Japan, but sometimes Japanese people have no clue as well. Even though toilets in Japan are more advanced compared to those in other countries, sometimes the new technology can make people miserable when they just want to take a casual dump. Recently, a kind notice hung above a toilet seat caused a fuss throughout Japan’s Twitterverse, saying “If the toilet doesn’t flush, please pull the toilet flush handle in the following directions: (→ ↘ ↓ ↙ ← → ↓ (pause to charge) ↑). At some point, the water should start flowing.”
It’s hard to imagine that taking a dump could be such an arduous task, almost as hard as performing a difficult combo move from Street Fighters. Anyhow, we do hope people flush their toilets at all times...
