For Japanese photographer KAGAYA, the sky and galaxy are the main focus and themes of his work. He often encourages his Twitter followers to stop and take a moment out of hectic everyday life to appreciate the beauty of the sky.
As the weather is finally cooling down, it seems he uploaded this melancholy set of photos with very deliberate timing.
The photoset is called ‘Memories of Summer, Colour of the Milky Way’.

He managed to perfectly capture a nostalgic feeling for summer in four images, and some Japanese commenters wrote that the photographs left them in tears.
The models in school uniform help the photos bring back memories of youthful, carefree days, then the focus switches to KAGAYA's favourite subject, the sky. The four photos transition from dazzling sun, to a dusky twilight, to a starry night.
