Stay inside a Pokémon Hotel Room in Tokyo or Kyoto with a giant Snorlax cuddle buddy

Pokémon fans seeking lodging in Japan were thrilled to find out that hotel chain Apartment Hotel Mimaru would be introducing Pokémon-themed rooms at five of their locations this winter. While it was previously only known that the rooms would feature an original Pokémon interior design and offer an assortment of Pokémon accessories, Mimaru has just released the first images of the new Pokémon rooms!

Each room is decorated with Pokémon and Pokéball wallpaper and carpeting. As an apartment hotel chain, Mimaru is known for spacious family-friendly rooms and offers fully-stocked kitchens, but of course the new rooms switch out standard cutlery and kitchenware for Pokémon-themed supplies.

Perhaps one of the biggest appeals of the Pokémon rooms is that guests can crawl into a Pokéball-themed bed and cuddle up with a giant Snorlax plushie!

Unfortunately, the kitchenware and Snorlax plushie aren't take-home items. However, each hotel room comes with a complimentary pack of original hotel-exclusive goods to take home. Guests will receive a Pokéball draw-string bag which contains a welcome card and two Pokémon design hand towels. Rooms in Kyoto and Tokyo will feature different hand towel designs.

Room reservations for each location are currently available online, and Mimaru's Pokémon rooms begin officially welcoming guests starting December 24th.
