Every pet owner knows that our furry friends can have unique personalities and quirks that we tolerate because of how cute they are. When it comes to animal rescue associations, dealing with these eccentricities is a part of their day-to-day job.
Take for example, LuckyStar, a Hokkaido-based animal rescue association that protects and rescues animals of old age, or those with injuries and disabilities.
A recent post from their Twitter account (@LuckyStar111222) ended up becoming popular in Japan. The post features a Shiba Inu with an unusual companion that he demands to take with him on his walking trips.

The insistent pup’s name is Kojirō, and the Twitter post from LuckyStar shows him carrying a bread-shaped pillow while he’s out for a walk. The post is captioned with: “He said ‘I can’t [go] if it’s not [with the] bread!’ So embarrassing! Lol”
Japanese Twitter users responded with comments like “That’s so cute!”, meanwhile some users also sympathized through comments like, “My dog also likes to walk around with a cushion, I don’t know what to do!”
Who can really say why Kojirō insists on having a bread pillow with him, but let’s face it, no matter what our pets do, these little quirks only make us love them more.
