Adorable My Melody fashion doll is Sanrio’s second official collaboration with Pullip

Sanrio fans who also collect (or at least, appreciate) fashion dolls may recall Sanrio's first official collaboration with famous doll maker Pullip last year, on the occasion of Hello Kitty's 45th anniversary, the "Pullip Hello Kitty 45th Anniversary Version" doll:

Now, in their second official collaboration, Sanrio and Pullip are paying tribute to Hello Kitty's bunny best friend, My Melody, in an adorable fashion doll which fans are sure to love.

Pullip doll features

For those who don't know, Pullip fashion dolls feature a large head and a body with a lot of range of motion. You can move their eyes left and right and close the eyelids, giving them various expressions, and you can move their hands and feet to pose them as you wish.

Concept

According to the press release, the concept for "Pullip / My Melody pink ver." is:

"I'm going to wear my favorite dress and go out to have fun with my friends :) Look, my light blue ribbon is the same as My Melody's. That's the mood I'm in.”

This doll is focused on pink, which looks good with a light blue ribbon. The hair and makeup are coordinated with a sweet and girly look. Rounding out the design, the headdress has drooping ears, there's a fluffy tail behind the dress, and the big black eyes also have a "My Melody"-like appearance.
