The massively multiplayer platformer game "Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout" has quickly become a runaway hit. Developed by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital, the popular game, which draws inspiration from game shows like "Takeshi's Castle," "It's a Knockout" and "Total Wipeout," allows up to 60 players to compete in mini-games with obstacles in a battle-royale style.
Devolver Digital posted on their Twitter account that the game had crossed "7 million units on Steam and is the most downloaded PS Plus game of all time!"
In Japan, YouTubers and Vtubers have been streaming their Fall Guys gameplay, quickly growing the fan base.
This fanbase includes Twitter user and illustrator βeniko (@Bee25_0), who also enjoys drawing LoveLive!! characters.
Recently, βeniko posted a great piece of fan art on Twitter which has been going viral, with over 105,000 likes and 32,000 retweets at the time of writing:
"I drew the totally not fun kind of Fall Guys..."
Anyone who has ever experienced the hell of crowded trains during rush hour will surely smile in recognition. Although Japanese people are generally well-behaved, things can get dicey at times with pushing and shoving, especially in the most crowded trains, and fighting between passengers have been known to happen.
βeniko followed-up the illustration with a Tweet saying:
"Let's do the fun kind of Fall Guys!"
We couldn't agree more. Now get those crowns!
