Recently, illustrator and manga artist Gidre ぎどれ (@gidre_) posted a story of an artist with a negative personality struggling to manage his emotions while navigating a tumultuous online fling. The manga struck a chord with many Japanese Twitter users, and at the time of writing, it has 46,000 likes and 12,000 retweets.
"About the guy with a negative personality* (from the manga I've been posting on Twitter) who meets a female follower."
* A Japanese slang term of recent vintage, inkya インキャ or 陰キャ is short for 陰キャラクター in-kyarakutā (negative character). It's opposite is yōkya ヨウキャ or 陽キャ (positive character).
