Wish for endless energy, prosperous fortune, as well as the health and safety of family and friends in the New Year by gifting them with these ‘Ox and crescent moon” limited edition gaufrette cookies.
Designed and manufactured by specialty wafer cookie store, Gorō Kamakura, the cookies feature an embossed 2021 ‘Year of the Ox’ motif.
A salivating mix of golden mashed sweet potatoes and seasonal chestnut cream are sandwiched neatly between two wafer thin cookies, made with the perfect balance of delicate crispy crunch and smooth creamy goodness.
The inner mixture of sweet potatoes and chestnut cream, known as ‘Kuri-kinton’ (Chestnut gold mash in English) is a special flavour associated with the New Year, and is believed to bring good luck to those who consume the mouthwatering paste.
