Witty capsule toy series imagines male / female toilet symbols come to life

Most of us have probably seen the "toilet symbol" before. In particular, the symbol of a blue man and a red woman wearing a skirt, separated by a black bar, is a familiar sight.

Now, a series of figurines based on this ubiquitous symbol has become a hot topic in Japan, thanks to a new capsule toy released by Bushiroad Inc.

According to their press release, they've created a 'desktop figure' depicting "the story of a man and a woman who have broken free from the 'wall' that stands between them."

There are figurines of loving couples holding hands (Lunlun ルンルン is a mimetic word for being in a good mood), doing the kabe-don 壁ドン (check out this video if you want to know what that's all about), and figurines of a man being slapped on the cheek with the word "SAITEI!" (最低 in Japanese, which can be translated as: "You're the worst!"). Maybe that was after the kabe-don...

The "Toilet Symbol" couple are so completely free and unbridled that there's no more meaning in having a separating line between them. Since they were always next to each other, did they become aware of each other as love objects? You can't help but laugh at these figurines that are sure to stir up your imagination!

Each figure is priced at 200 yen, and there are six types in total. Why don't you get one with your favorite pose and display it on your desk or shelf? If you own a business, you could even put one in your bathroom for a laugh. They're available at capsule toy dispensers throughout Japan.
