Ken Wakui's popular manga Tokyo Revengers has been adapted to anime and stage productions, and its fascinating characters and exciting plot have attracted many people both in Japan and abroad.
Thanks to the franchise's popularity, fans have already been able to enjoy merchandise featuring the protagonists in various attires and themes, but now, Japanese variety store chain Loft is taking the boys to the public bath in a series of limited-time pop-up stores that will tour Japan this summer and fall.
Tokyo Revengers Pop-Up Store at Loft
The Tokyo Revengers pop-up store will be held from July 1st, 2022.
Starting with "Shibuya Loft" in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, it will travel to all 8 Loft stores throughout Japan.
The theme of the limited-time store is a public bath, known as 銭湯 sentō in Japanese. A newly-drawn original illustration shows the boys of Tokyo Revengers soaking in the bath and fooling around, play-fighting with the equipment. The word 銭湯中 sentōchū, meaning "in a public bath," featured in the illustration is a play on words, since sentōchū (which would be written 戦闘中) can also mean "in a fight."
The pop-up stores will have photo spots and anime panels on display, as well as original goods making their debut here before being available more widely.
In addition, the rubber duckie that was floating in the bathtub with Mikey in episode 13 of the anime will make an appearance!
Those who enjoy the original Japanese voice acting in the anime will be happy to know that in-store announcements will feature the voices of Yūki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki and Shō Karino as Chifuyu Matsuno.
If you buy at least 2,000 JPY worth of goods, you can get a limited edition commemorative card stylized to resemble a Sentō bath ticket, so be sure to check it out!
Tokyo Revengers fans shouldn't miss this limited-time store!
