It's always a treat to see our pets take a warm liking to healthy snacks, but NyanKo Burger's (@nekonodorei_22) hamster may have bitten off more than he can chew.

NyanKo Burger brought home quite the big serving of broccoli, and decided to leave it on the dinner table in front of their pet hamster to see how they would react. As you can see, the adorable furball had quite the enthusiastic reaction.

The little excited hamster looks like he's been dropped into a forest of broccoli, reaching up to grab a bite in a pose that looks almost like he's worshipping a giant tree of broccoli. Many online compared the scene to something out of classic Studio Ghibli anime My Neighbor Totoro. According to NyanKo Burger, the little hamster eventually calmed down and enjoyed his snack--although hopefully not the whole thing!
