100-yen stores in Japan are full of surprises. While the conversion rate isn't always straight up the same (especially these days), the Japanese equivalent of an American dollar store has affordable goods that can even be turned into stunning Neon Genesis Evangelion dioramas.
Just when you think you might be past the point of surprise, Twitter user elves (@elves_HM) shared an amazing home project they put together using 100-yen store goods and a little bit of cardboard. Their young child has recently been getting into playing house, so elves decided to build them their very own kitchen using a cardboard base and 100-yen store items--and the quality is awesome!

According to elves, all the materials except the cardboard base were purchased at a 100 yen store.
He also added a motion sensor light purchased at a 100 yen store to the oven, so the light comes on when the door is opened!
