While Pikachu was pretty much the king of the Pokemon world already, the introduction of augmented reality game and global phenomenon Pokemon Go has extended his reach beyond what anyone could have expected. The song is titled "Pikachu's Song" and is an entry in a first-ever "character song" project for the popular Pokemon XY&Z anime. Character songs in Japan are typically in-character theme songs sung by the voice actor of the character. In that case this would be Ootani Ikue, the longstanding and famous voice of Pikachu.
