It's hard to find anyone wearing a kimono in Japan unless it's for a special occasion, but that doesn't negate the fact that there are kimono enthusiasts who would much prefer the traditional garment for modern clothes. Catering to such fashion forward men is Wazigen-Shizukuya, a Kyoto fashion brand that brilliantly adds a modern, stylish touch to traditional kimonos. In the past, we've seen their 10th Anniversary and Autumn Collections, but now they have come out with their new 2016 Winter Collection featuring warm coats and cloaks to wear over the kimono during the cold winter months.

One of the reasons for Wazigen-Shizukuya's immense success is their fashionable designs that are impossible to find anywhere else, especially since most kimono accessories for men are made of fabrics with simple patterns and subdued colors. Contrastingly, Wazigen-Shizukuya experiments with their garments with bright colors and graphics, as well as materials like faux leather and alpaca fur. With a selection of fourteen items in their winter lineup, it'll be quite the challenge trying to choose the perfect one.
From the posh to the more Darth Vader-esque design, there's something for everyone. Created with the utmost care and attention to detail, each product possesses a depth that goes well beyond the fashion statement it makes. Not only that, they guarantee warmth and comfort for extensive wear.
