An otter is a slightly unusual pet to have, but it seems Kotaro isn’t shy about showing affection for his owner.

And likewise, his owner shows affection for him. For example, throwing the otter a birthday bash to celebrate him becoming one year old.

Kotaro is presented with delicious sashimi dishes, and the video captures his enthusiastic reaction.

I’m jealous of both the owner, because he has a cute otter, and the otter himself, because he gets to eat a range of delicious and fresh sashimi.

Comments underneath the video from Japanese viewers show similar amounts of jealousy and endearment, saying things like ‘he’s really like a human child’, and ‘I wish I could join in too!’
