Hello Kitty is celebrating her 45th anniversary this year and has already collaborated with a Tokyo cafe to bring out awesome Kitty-chan themed food and desserts. The super popular Sanrio character’s goods are already found everywhere in Japan, but now she’s even invading our morning coffee run, making it as sweet and kawaii as Kitty herself.
The collaboration with Japanese convenience store Lawson has already begun, allowing fans to grab three different Hello Kitty promotional items.
If you pick up a Hello Kitty Café Latte (500 yen), it comes with a soft fluffy cup sleeve, allowing you to safely hold your coffee without fear of burning your hands. The sleeve fastens with Velcro so it can be easily reused for any hot beverage you buy in the future.

Why stop the cuteness at your beverage when you can also pick up a special Hello Kitty themed bento lunch?
And for dessert, Lawson’s usually savoury steamed buns take on a sweeter flavour, encasing apple and custard. It’s not just the contents of the bun, the outer appearance is pretty cute too, taking on classic Hello Kitty face form.
With the 45th anniversary celebrations continuing, who knows where the white cat’s iconic red bow will show up next?
