First Impression Working Women Want to Make Is Clear Skin, Japanese Survey Reveals
In recent years, all kinds of Japanese products have been turned into good-looking anime boys for limited-time commercial campaigns. For example, we've seen Cup Noodle flavors turned into handsome anime host club boys and The Body Shop beauty products turned into handsome vegetarian anime wizards.
However, just when you thought things couldn't get stranger, along comes the Wakky Seven.
According to research conducted by the male styling, beauty and hygiene product maker Mandom Corp., the armpits of a Japanese male produces seven distinct types of smells. So, to promote their Gatsby brand's new Premium Type roll-on deodorant which can tackle them all, they announced a new ad campaign in which the the smells are represented by, you guessed it, seven handsome anime boys. Together, they call themselves the Wakky Seven ワッキ―セブン (a play on "lucky seven," waki 腋 meaning "armpit").

Even though the premise is a bit wacky, Mandom didn't skimp on talent in putting the commercial together, using members from up-and-coming seiyu group 8P (Eight Piece), an awesome theme song made by Masayoshi Ōishi, the rising star in the anisong world whose recent credits include "UNION," the opening theme for SSSS.GRIDMAN (lyrics, composition, vocals together with Tom-H@ck as OxT) and "Welcome to Japari Park," the opening theme of the first season of Kemono Friends (lyrics, composition, arrangement), and characters designed by FiFS, whose credits include the game God Eater, and anime series such as Prince of Stride and The iDOLM@STER SideMseven
Here's the video where it all comes together:
