It's easy to feel down on a rainy day, even more so on a rainy night where everything around you is dark. Unless you're a photographer, that is. Rainy nights in the big city, with all the light sources and wet surfaces reflecting them, can offer a treasure trove of photo opportunities.
Tantan (@_tantan_1997), a young Japanese creator who counts photography among a list of talents which also include videography, musical creation, music festival management, marketing and modeling, happened to be visiting New York City on a rainy night when he felt compelled to take out his camera. Thanks to the neon lights and the raindrops on the camera lens, he ended up with three amazing photos which make the Big Apple look like a dreamy wonderland:

He must have be so taken by the scene in front of him that he didn't take time to consider the damage the rain was doing to his equipment:
"I broke my lens shooting these in the rain in NYC, so I'd like as many people as possible to see them {crying emoji}"
In response to his plea, and most certainly in reaction to the amazing photos he shared, his Tweet has over 103,000 likes and 25,100 retweets at the time of writing.
He also shared other pictures from New York City at night:
"If you'd like, please take a look at NY in the rain... It's really beautiful..."
