Episode 17: Special Guest Aoi Fuji

Welcome to another episode of YuNi no All Night Nippon i
Today, YuNi was joined in the studio by fellow Vtuber Aoi Fuji.

YuNi and Aoi eat udon

The staff prepared udon for YuNi and Aoi to eat on the show. You could even hear the udon boiling in the pot. You'd think it was an ASMR show...

Letters from fans

While the two enjoyed their udon stew, they answered questions from listeners. This time, there were three letters.

Letter 1: "In what environment and how do you listen to music?" asked the first listener. YuNi said she listens to music on the go and at home. When she's at home, she turns the lights down and listens to music while relaxing on her sofa. She also likes to listen to game soundtracks and other kind of fantasy music while soaking in the bath because she likes to imagine she's the heroine in an adventure.

Letter 2: "Now you're both famous Vtubers. But when you were starting out, what did you pay particular attention to?" YuNi tried different styles in her singing in order to show her audience what she could do. She didn't only rely on songs she could sing well but went for variety. Supply and demand is difficult to manage when you're starting out. Aoi agreed it's a difficult balance and admitted she also worried about how she should sing. YuNi wasn't afraid of failing because she had nothing to lose. Remembering your "heart of a beginner" is important no matter how famous you get, she added.

Letter 3: The last letter was more of a request than a question. The listener asked: "I'm a horticulture student and I worked very hard on landscaping under the hot sun. Could you please give me a message of support?" YuNi thought about it for a while, then said: "You're great. You're a warrior of light!"

This week's nihongo tip

  • Transliteration: Erai zo! Kimi wa hikari no senshi da!
